do you ever get really motivated to do something and you get really excited about it and then when you get home you’re just like nah
Michigan State Spartan’s suffered a lost today, Lacey Holsworth lost her battle with cancer at the young age of 8. Lacey became friends with MSU basketball star Adreian Payne and accompanied him throughout MSU’s Big10 Championship and March Madness run. Being a big-time athlete is about more than just being a superstar and celebrity. For many people, particularly young people, they are role models. People look up to them for hope, for inspiration, for proof that you can do great things and make dreams and wishes come true. They’re heroes to these people. Adrieian Payne understood that and took that responsibility seriously. It clearly meant a lot to this little girl and her family that she got to hang out with a hero. Good man! His future in the NBA is bright and I wish him the best. Rest In Paradise, Lacey.

I’d be lying if I said living in Hawaii these past 6 months was paradise..
Hawaii has taught me many things:
To appreciate what I have back home
Money management (still working on this one)
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side
Find joy and adventure wherever I go
How to Embrace other cultures
I love my family beyond belief
Utah isn’t all that bad of a place
Always remind your loved ones that you love them because it may be the last time they ever hear it from you
Hawaii has also given me the opportunity to continue to do what I love while getting an education
So, good bye Hawaii! See you in September!
